Grain/Ether

Space dust. It's remains of planets that fail to continue to function, and a blanket term for unknown particles. It's usually harmful to human body, but rare dusts that bring noticable changes to human body are called Ether.

The Hundred A-rays, Humanity and Knights are nothing more than new species introduced by Ether. Because of the astonishing the dust's rate of transformation to energy, new tactics, that were supposed to be impossible within atmosphere, became possible. A-rays who merged Ether and Knights who crystallized Ether rended all classical weaponry obsolete.
